How this app can be used in future teaching practice:

It was very fun to teach our peers how to use Prodigy. In this app, students are required to complete missions and each mission has a math question, in order to get through the mission, students must complete questions assigned to them. Students are able to access this app at home and at school! Prodigy is an app that can serve as a formative assessment tool for teachers; teachers are able to assign math homework and certain questions to students. Teachers can log in to view students' progress in answering these questions, they can view how well students are doing at answering these questions and where they may be struggling. Prodigy can also be a fun way to get students interested and willing to engage in math-related content, this means that students may be more willing to work on math problems even when they are at home! In the future, I can see myself using this app to get students to work on building their understanding of certain math concepts. Teachers definitely benefit from this engaging app!

  1. I love working with you and Shenae on introducing Prodigy to our peers. This app really does engage students! I cannot wait for me to also use this app in my future teachings! I hope that we can continue to have this kinds of app because it does engages and promotes student learning.
